The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered 100% (40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our UICC Urology Northgate DR, Iowa City clinic .
This position will work variable hours completed Monday - Friday, standard hours of 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM, no one call time.
The Urology clinic provides medical and surgical care for male and female patients, and selected services for pediatric patients to managing complex medical conditions and chronic disorders.
Our Licensed Practical Nurses develop relationships and get to know our patients and monitor patient care history and deliver personalized, compassionate care every time to each patient.

Summary :
Under direct supervision of LIP (licensed independent practitioner), RN (registered nurse), NM / ANM (nurse manager / assistant nurse manager) or other licensed designee, functions as a member of the patient care team.
Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in the Pediatric Associates care setting by coordinating all elements of the patient visit.
Duties to include :
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
- In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.

Salary : $42,569.76 to $63,424.96 / Hourly rate : $20.31 - $30.26 ( based on years of experience )
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support provider.
Desired Requirements
- Previous 6 months of pediatric experience
- Previous EPIC experience
- Previous phlebotomy experience
