Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of imaging experience and required ARDMS registration or eligibility.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a hospital-based ultrasound department specializing in cardiac sonography
  • Work schedule is 8-hour day shifts, typically from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • 13-week full-time contract assignment
  • No on-call required
  • Must adhere to a 75-mile radius rule with no locals accepted
  • Responsibilities include performing a range of cardiac sonography procedures for diverse patient populations
  • Department-specific training provided as needed
  • High standard for professionalism, interpersonal, and communication skills expected
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under deadline pressure and in stressful situations
  • References must include 2 from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager within the past year and in the specialty

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography required
  • Minimum 1 year of radiologic or imaging experience
  • Specific cardiac sonography training and experience required
  • Registered with ARDMS or registry eligible
  • Current BCLS certification required
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology required
  • Proficiency with major medical sonography equipment, including hardware and software
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • License required if applicable
