- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in consumer product design, and with developing and shipping multiple consumer products.
- 4 years of experience working in a mechanical engineering technical environment, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications :
- Master's or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in technical leadership.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
- Identify issues with hardware components.
- Evaluate hardware design based on product requirements.
- Apply best practices to optimize hardware components to meet performance, power, and cost-effectiveness requirements.
- Drive efforts for the documentation of the hardware design, implementation, or test / validation results throughout the product life-cycle.
- Review and approve hardware designs (e.g., block diagrams, schematics, layouts, BOM, algorithms, protocols, link budgets).
