What’s involved in this role :

We are looking for a Financial Accountant in Appleton, WI or Eden Prairie, MN.

• Engage within the finance sector to develop expert knowledge in internal processes, controls and systems and collaborate with the Director on process improvement initiatives.
• Review and analyze General Ledger accounts, including cash, receivables, prepaids, payables, accruals, etc. to ensure the subledger reconciles with the general ledger and the accounts are reconciled monthly.
• Review all payroll entries to ensure amounts are recorded to the appropriate balance sheet and income statement accounts as new earnings / deduction codes are set up.

Work with the Payroll and Corporate Accounting departments to make changes to the Workday uploads if needed.

• For all outgoing payroll-related payments, reconcile and record the offsetting entries to cash.
• Prepare, review and input journal entries for all other employee-related general ledger accounts (bonuses, profit sharing, PTO, health insurance, etc.)
• Prepare trial balance conversion files as needed for upload of information from Oracle to SAP until all US locations are live in SAP.
• Prepare and submit Sales and Use Tax returns for US locations as needed WI / MN / IA / SD / ID. Work with Accounts Payable and Projects to ensure sales and use tax rules are being followed in all states.

What you need to join our team :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum five (5-8) years of progressive accounting experience in a public accounting or manufacturing environment, with an emphasis on financial statement preparation, account reconciliation and audit support required.
• Prior experience with SAP, S4 Hana preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and / or experience may be considered.
