About Phoenix School Counseling :
Phoenix School Counseling is a group of licensed school counselors, psychologists, and alcohol and drug counselors that has been providing counseling services to nonpublic schools since 1981.

Job Summary :
The K-8 School Counselor will provide support to students and families for social, emotional, and academic learning needs.
A Day in the Life of the K-8 School Counselor :
- Create and co-lead the student support team / MTSS.
- Meet with administration team to review referrals and interventions.
- Drive, co-lead and support implementation of tier 1 program; support teachers and offer PD and training when needed. Ensure connection with tier 2 / 3 interventions.
- Create singular or multiple cross-grade tier 2 groups.
- Maintain awareness of student diagnoses, develop and update plans for tier 3 students, and share with staff as needed.
- Connect with and support parents as needed, providing referrals to PSC team.
- Provide and encourage outside referrals for students as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities) :
Master's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :
MN School Counselor or School Social Worker License (Preferred)
Location / Environment : Greater Twin Cities, MN
Duration : School year Position Type : Full Time or Part-Time
Hours : 7-35 hours per week Monday - Friday
Salary Range : $38-$48 per hour based on experience & qualifications.
