Transportation Dispatcher
Overview
Dispatching coil loads to trucking companies and / or dispatching rail loads.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining carrier contracts, rates, and proper insurance as required.
- Always working to meet customer requests
- Communicate regularly with customers, carriers, sales, IT, and Production
- Build truck and / or rail loads as required.
- Utilize Princeton TMS to dispatch loads to carriers.
Qualifications
- Ability to handle many tasks at a fast pace under pressure
- Ability to learn systems, carriers, and customer requirements
- Ability to effectively interact with all departments and people involved
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Positive attitude
- Organizational skills including problem-solving and prioritization
- Strong computer application skills
Preferred
- Previous transportation dispatching knowledge / experience
- Previous customer service experience
