Work Schedule : firstshift.

Position Summary :

Material Handlermaintains incoming and outgoing product movement throughout thefacility.

CoreResponsibilities and Tasks :

• Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplacesafety and product quality.
• Reads productionschedule customer order work order shipping order or requisition todetermine items to be moved gathered or distributed.

Conveysmaterials and items from receiving or production areas to storageor to other designated areas.

Sorts and placesmaterials or items on racks shelves or in bins according topredetermined sequence such as size type style color or productcode.

Fills requisitions work orders or requests for materials orother stock items and distributes items to productionareas.

• Assembles customer orders from stockand places orders on pallets. Marks materials with identifyinginformation.
• Opens bales crates and othercontainers.
• Records amounts of materials oritems received or distributed.
• Weighs orcounts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance tocompany standards.
• Uses computer to enterrecords.
• Drives material handling equipment totransport stored items.
• Loads and unloadstrailers of palletized and nonpalletized products. Utilizes manualand automated material handling equipment.
• Practices and adheres to appropriate safety and hygieneguidelines / procedures for safe housekeeping and personalprotection.

May perform other duties as required.

• Contributes to division results andperformance.
• Take care of internal andexternal customer needs and expectations.

Required :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge & Experience

Required :

• The candidate must be able to communicate effectivelywith team members and management staff.
• Mustbe able to read information through warehouse computer software.

Preferred :

Relevant workexperience.

PhysicalRequirements :

• Must beable to sit stand hear and see on a constant basis.
• Must be able to walk write and type on a frequentbasis.
• Must be able to lift and carry up tothirty pounds on a frequent basis.
• Must beable to lift and carry up to fifty pounds on an occasional basis.Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
• Mustbe able to bend carry reach push and pull on a frequent basis. Mustbe able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• May work indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0degrees.
• May work in areas where noise levelis such that hearing protection is required.
• May be exposed to varying amounts of dust anddirt.
• Work surfaces may includeconcrete.
• Employees must be able to operate acomputer and communicate via telephone.
