Ability to be self-motived and work independently, as well as follow through on direction provided by both senior and community management.

Purpose

The Senior Employee Experience Director should exhibit superb communication skills. This leader supports employees throughout their employment with Vista Springs and ensures staff remain integrated and closely- aligned with the mission and vision of the Company.

This senior leadership position is heavily involved with the scheduling of employees; which includes being on-call to ensure the community is always appropriately staffed to meet the licensing standards required to keep all community members safe and protected.

Additionally, this role is instrumental in ensuring employee retention, while also carefully evaluating which employees are used to fill open shifts, so as to ultimately eliminate overtime and agency staffing across these communities.

The Employee Experience Director works to support healthcare and assisted living facilities, which are open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week with responsibilities that include :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Scheduling Health and Wellness staff, including Holiday Rotation.

2. Taking call for employee call in’s and assisting with finding staff replacements to ensure staffing ratios are in compliance with community needs.

3. Maintaining consistent and clear communication between staff members and senior / community management.

4. Report any staff concerns immediately to the Senior Support Operations Executive.

5. Support the community management by maintaining professional communications with all employees.

6. Refuse to engage with staff gossip; instead redirect concerns to appropriate management.

7. Maintaining employee, community member, and family confidentiality, privacy, and care.

Non-Essential Job Duties or Responsibilities :

1. Occasional meetings in community.

2. Ability to assist and supervise during an emergency.

3. Occasional errands.

4. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

A successful Senior Employee Experience Director will have specific skills needed to fulfill their duties. This individual will utilize strong organizational skills necessary to systematize a scheduling plan for multi-site communities that currently include Astounding Joy in Howell and Timber Ridge Village in Lansing.

Demonstrating the ability to work effectively to coordinate and professionally communicate with diverse healthcare workers who hold varied schedules are also essential duties required of this leadership role.

Highly developed verbal and written communication skills are required to facilitate and expedite the resolution of any operational issues or concerns between management and staff.

A truly successful Senior Employee Experience Director will guide teams with compassion, while also transparently and collaboratively working alongside senior management to ensure that the Company’s healthcare policies, procedures, and practices are always being followed.

Educational Requirements :

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or three years related experience and or equivalent combination of education and training.

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in medical management or healthcare administration will be preferred.

Work Experience :

At least 5 years’ experience of supervised healthcare and assisted living experience. Type 60+ words a minute with accuracy.

Excellent PC skills; competent in Microsoft Word and Excel software packages. Working knowledge of copy machine, fax, laser printer.

Language Skills :

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to professionally communicate, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management, staff, vendors, community members and their families.

Must be able to speak read and write and use Basic English Skills.

Physical Demands :

Lift up to 50 lbs. Required to assist with community member care needs, whenever in community.

Additional Information :

Must be able to collaborate with colleagues, multi-task, coordinate and accomplish assigned job duties.
