JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

The Assistant Stable Manager reports to the Stable Manager.

Daily Responsibilities :

• Assist Stable Manager with tasks as required
• Turnout / bring in horses
• Blanket horses as necessary
• Feed horses hay and grain
• Clean stalls
• Clean and fill waterers / troughs
• Sweep barn aisle
• Give medications and first aid when needed
• If deemed experienced enough, assist with exercising and evaluating horses on horseback
• All other duties as assigned

This position must work one weekend day. This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.

A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances :

• PA State Police Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
• FBI Criminal Background Check
