My client is a self-perform solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) firm. They maintain strong partnerships with utilities and major IPPs (Independent Power Producers) across the United States.
Their leadership boasts extensive experience, having delivered over 30 GW in solar construction.
Job Responsibilities :
Manage all aspects of solar project execution, including oversight of profit and loss, coordination with trade contractors, and participation in proposal development and presentations.
Contribute to financial tracking by approving miscellaneous job expenditures, preparing monthly Owner Requisitions, processing monthly requisitions, managing the change order process, and assisting in Loss-Control Management.
Manage project assets efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with the job site and Safety team to develop, implement, and uphold the project safety program, fostering a safety-first culture through mentoring and exemplary behavior.
Oversee the implementation of the quality management plan to ensure adherence to quality standards and promote a culture of quality excellence.
Coordinate and monitor the design deliverable schedule to support permits, procurement, off-site production, construction, testing, commissioning, and project closeout.
Generate and maintain project performance status reports covering schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, safety, environment, quality control, and lessons learned.
Work closely with Field Supervision to ensure timely availability of necessary equipment, materials, and resources for field operations.
Manage risks associated with the EPC Agreement and ensure compliance with design specifications and contractual obligations.
Cultivate strong relationships with project team members, client representatives, consultants, and trade contractors.
Schedule and oversee staff and hourly workforce, ensuring optimal deployment of resources.
Develop and sustain customer-focused relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers, including local governmental officials.
Requirements :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in Solar Construction project management, with roles such as Project Engineer, Sr.
Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with client teams, subcontractors, and local governmental officials.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, scheduling software (Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project), and Project Management / Project Accounting software (e.g., Procore, Sage).
Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
