Job Title : Permanent Neonatologist Opportunity in Topeka, KS

Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in Topeka, Kansas, where a full-time Neonatologist position is available at a reputable facility offering comprehensive services. The practice operates within a Level-III, 36-bed NICU, providing a robust support system and a unique opportunity in the heart of Midwest America.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Full-time BC / BE Neonatologist position available.
  • Work a combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule, with approximately 170 hours of in-house coverage monthly.
  • Provide in-house call and backup call from home.
  • Join a collaborative 5-physician practice focused on delivering high-quality neonatal care.
  • Offer a range of services including high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, total body cooling, and aEEG.
  • Manage an average daily census of 26 patients with an average length of stay of 19 days.
  • Handle approximately 500 admissions annually with pediatric subspecialty support available.
  • Maintain The Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification in the Care of Premature Babies since 2012.
  • Open to new fellowship graduate candidates if already board certified in Pediatrics.
  • Accepting J1 & H1B visa candidates.

Qualifications :

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED
  • Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine - REQUIRED
  • Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start) - REQUIRED
  • Clean malpractice and license history - HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • DEA must be obtained prior to start - REQUIRED
  • Visa support (J1 or H1B) if needed - REQUIRED
  • License and Certification Requirements :

  • Board Certification in Pediatrics
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
  • Kansas state medical license or willingness to obtain
  • Fellowship completion in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
  • DEA registration prior to start
