About the Role : Position : Medication Technician Caregiver Location : Glen Park at Long Beach Type : Full-time Shift : 6 AM - 2 : 30 PM (AM SHIFT) 2 : 30PM - 11PM (PM SHIFT) Compensation : Starts at $18 / hour Benefits : Dental insurance Health insurance Retirement plan Vision insurance 1 Week-Paid Vacation after 1 year in tenure Responsibilities : Assist with the basic needs of an RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) Provide ethical and respectful care to residents Administer medication to residents in accordance with Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code Order and reorder medication for residents, following physician instructions Monitor medication administration records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician and / or Administrator Maintain progressive documentation and communication with physicians and medical professionals Schedule resident doctor’s appointments Work with medical professionals to ensure residents remain as stress-free as possible by managing pain while promoting engagement and independence Maintain composure during emergencies Ensure a safe work environment Requirements : Mandatory Live-Scan Clearance, TB test, and CPR / AED certification upon job offer Previous experience as a caregiver, familiar with managing 20+ residents within an 8-hour shift High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred) 1 year of medication administration experience (Preferred) Certified Medication Aide (Preferred) OFFERS : *HIRING BONUS OF $500* About Glen Park : Glen Park’s mission is to provide quality dignified care and to create a supportive healthy social environment for our residents to thrive in.
