Job Summary :
Linden Row Inn seeks a Food and Beverage Operations Manager based in Richmond, Virginia. The Food and Beverage Operations Manager shall have overall responsibility for the successful operation of the hotel’s food and beverage outlet and for meeting its financial objectives.
The individual will be responsible for maintaining established cost and quality standards, achieving guest satisfaction goals, and ensuring the maintenance and security of the restaurant's physical assets.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Management and execution of day-to-day front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house food and beverage operations for a small hotel, including bar
- Financial responsibility for food and beverage operations, including oversight of pricing and procurement of supplies and management of costs
- Development of food and beverage menus
- Oversight interior, and all fixtures, furnishings and equipment as it pertains to food and beverage operations
- Hiring, scheduling, management of staff members
- Leadership and maintenance of all inventory and maintenance of loss prevention procedures for kitchen small wares and equipment, liquor and bar items, and all food and beverage items
- Direction and oversight of training and training documentation
- Administration and enforcement of company policies and procedures
- Management of all aspects of guest relations including maintenance of a high guest satisfaction rating
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and front of the house areas
- Management of operations to ensure compliance with ABC laws, Health Department requirements and safe food practices
- Other tasks as necessary to ensure successful operations

- Ability to maintain elements of profitability in a business environment while creating a positive and enthusiastic team
- Proficient with POS systems, Hotel Property Management Systems, Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel, and office machines
- Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, including working long hours, irregular shifts, and on weekends and holidays
- Working knowledge of employment, alcoholic beverage control, health, and safety laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- ServSafe Certification
- Strong attention to detail, good follow through and communication skills
- Clear driving record
Education and Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of previous restaurant or related management experience
- Deep experience in front and back of the house food and beverage operations
Physical Requirements :
- Able to stand for prolonged periods
- Able to climb ladders
- Able to climb stairs
- Able to walk hallways and perimeter of property
- Able to twist, bend and reach
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds
