Job Description

As a Director of Validation Engineering, you will be responsible for managing a worldwide team of Silicon validation managers that are responsible to validate new silicon.

The team will own delivering bench testing and aligning on key requirements with design, test, systems, QA. This leadership role will drive validation strategy and execution for the business.

You will be responsible to evaluate resource needs and contribute to the business strategy from a validation perspecive.

This position will mentor and develop leaders in your organization and work with company and external partners to support the team, align on common methodologies and identify where improvements can be made.

This will be a Hybrid work model in the Dallas Texas area.

Qualifications

Experience in test leadership role :

10+ years

Degree & Education :

BSEE or greater or Professional equivalent.

Complexity & Problem Solving :

Ability to develop and implement strategies and maximize productivity of four or more validation teams worldwide.

Collaboration & Interaction :

Establish relationships with leadership within and outside the organization as needed. This role will report to a senior director.

Knowledge & Application :

  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven record of leading teams to high performance in validation for power and mixed signal ICs
  • Ability to set priority and propose the best silicon strategies considering development efficiency, cycle time, and thoroughness of catching silicon bugs and behaviors.
  • Develop and mentor validation managers.
  • Ability to collect technical information and organize / present them as needed.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Align on hardware strategies, automation, reporting and other team deliverables.
  • Knowledge of various test power topologies (PMIC, Drivers, High voltage, High Current devices)

Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $160,000-$280,000. This position is also eligible for the STI bonus opportunities.

Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
