About The Position

Job Title : Registered Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities :

Administer respiratory treatments and therapeutic interventions (e.g., oxygen therapy, nebulizers, CPT, suctioning) in neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care settings

Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, interpretation, and ventilator adjustments based on results

Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation in high-acuity units such as NICU, PICU, MICU, and ER

Respond to code blue, rapid response, and emergency resuscitation events across hospital departments

Conduct airway management, including intubation assistance, extubation preparation, and tracheostomy care

Monitor and document patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with physicians

Provide support during high-risk deliveries and neonatal stabilization under NRP guidelines

Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment and therapy plans

Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols while maintaining proper documentation in EMR systems

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, physicians, and respiratory managers, to provide coordinated care

Job Requirements

Skills :

• 2 Years experience in NICU / PICU / MICU / ER

Certifications :

RRT with NBRC - required

NYSED license - required

BLS - required

ACLS - required

PALS - required

NRP - required

RFPT preferred
