Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator with a strong background in bidding and securing projects with cities, counties, school districts and metro districts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Develop and submit competitive bids for public works projects.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure project budgets and timelines are achievable.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in public works or landscape / site development.
  • Proven success in winning bids for city, county, school district, or metro district clients.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Planswift, B2W) and Microsoft Office Suite, Projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and public procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in parks, irrigation systems, playgrounds, athletic fields, and site concrete.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field a plus.
