GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting hiring managers with pre-screening applicants and initiating pre-employment process.
The Specialist will begin the onboarding process for new employees and maintain employee information. This position will provide employee training, including new hire orientation, and organize and oversee various employee engagement activities.
With direction from the HR Manager and the Regional HR Director, this position participates in employee counseling and corrective actions as needed in cooperation with department managers and the General Manager.
Other HR duties are assigned as needed.
Requirements :
- Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration.
- Knowledge of standard Human Resources concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with Human Resources / Payroll systems such as Paylocity preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand, evaluate, and make judgement calls regarding assigned tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Familiar and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish desired
- At least 2 years related experience, training or equivalent combination of education / experience.
