As a Career Coach, you will provide career development support to job seekers in our community. You will help clients with resume development, interview preparation, job search strategies, and career planning.
Your expertise will enhance their employability and secure meaningful employment opportunities. This role requires strong communication skills in both English and Spanish and a deep understanding of the local job market.
Reports To : Director of Economic Mobility Services
Responsibilities :
- Provide personalized career coaching
- Conduct assessments of clients' skills and goals
- Offer guidance on career paths and educational opportunities
- Assist with job search skills, including networking and online applications
- Collaborate with community organizations and employers
- Conduct workshops on career-related topics
- Stay updated on labor market trends
- Track client progress and document outcomes
- Provide financial counseling as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
- Collaborate with JPNDC staff to support clients
Requirements :
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom, Google Apps, and social media
- Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience as a Career Coach or similar role
- Knowledge of career development theories and job search strategies
- Familiarity with the local job market and industry trends
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations
- Commitment to social justice and community development
Work Environment : Full-time role with a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
Compensation : Salary range $55,000-$63,000 with a competitive benefits package.
