The company is currently seeking a College Co-op / Intern .

Responsibilities

Are you looking for an Electrical Engineering internship that will give you valuable hands-on experience? Our Co-op / Internship program at Daifuku Airport America will combine your education with practical experience in core electrical areas.

We are currently looking for bright and talented college level students who are interested in bringing their passion to life and being part of our future as a global material handling systems world leader.

Our co-op and internship opportunities are led by engineers and technical managers who help pave the way for learning all aspects of our trade including design, analysis and testing in the mechanical, controls, electrical and manufacturing fields.

Job / task opportunities may include, but are not limited to :

  • Provide support and basic trouble shooting for current operations.
  • Investigate, gather and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas.
  • Implement new manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Analyze assignments and determine engineering specifications.
  • Compile necessary information to document the design solution required for adoption of a design.
  • Contribute to the success of the team by taking on additional responsibilities and completing tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

You would be a great candidate if you have :

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with focus on teamwork.
  • Availability to work 24-40 hours per week between the hours of 8am-5pm, Mon-Friday, ongoing (not seasonal).

Qualifications :

  • Actively enrolled in and pursuing a . or . Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Allen Bradley PLC programming (ControlLogix), preferred.
  • Autocad experience, preferred.
  • Willing to work hands-on with tools and mechanical equipment
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude
  • Strong organizational skills and written communication skills
  • Self-managed, hard-working, great attitude, ready to learn

Demonstrated Physical Abilities

  • Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move / traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment;
  • operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking / hearing;

read / identify / assess forms and correspondence. While on job sites, must be able to walk airports and plants and remain standing for most of the shift.
