Staff Accountant (Rockville Centre)

A leading hospital system is looking for a Staff Accountant for their Finance organization. Some of the key responsibilities include :

• Perform daily cash reconciliations for designated bank accounts across multiple facilities, including analysis of reconciling items. Strong Excel proficiency is essential.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Analyze expense accounts and calculate or estimate accruals for designated facilities.
• Create monthly journal entries for various balance sheet and expense accounts.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis for balance sheet and income / expense accounts.
• Compile monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and supporting workpapers.
• Support the preparation of schedules for monthly financial statements and assist with special projects or new initiatives as needed.
