The Clinical Trainer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for clinical staff to ensure high standards of patient care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical practice, excellent instructional skills, and a commitment to fostering professional growth among healthcare practitioners.
Responsibilities : Duties include but not limited to :
- Develop Training Programs : Create and update training materials, curricula, and evaluation tools for clinical staff. Ensure that training content is relevant, evidence-based, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct Training Sessions : Deliver engaging and informative training sessions to clinical staff, including workshops, seminars, and one-on-one coaching.
Adapt training methods to meet diverse learning needs.
Assess Training Effectiveness : Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
Make recommendations for improvements and implement necessary changes.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders : Work closely with clinical leadership, HR, and other departments to identify training needs and ensure that training programs address organizational priorities.
- Stay Current : Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in clinical practice, training methodologies, and regulatory changes.
Incorporate new knowledge into training programs.
- Support Compliance : Ensure that training programs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. Provide support for audits and accreditation processes as needed.
- Mentorship : Provide ongoing support and guidance to clinical staff, including new hires, to enhance their skills and confidence in their roles.
Required Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in Clinical Training or Education preferred.
- Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting. Previous experience in a training or instructional role is highly desirable.
- Skills : Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge : In-depth understanding of clinical practices, healthcare regulations, and adult learning principles. Proficiency in using various training tools and technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, One Note, and Microsoft Project
- Experience using a wide variety of training tools to effectively facilitate to a wide audience.
- Understanding of curriculum design and computer-based training applications and adult learning principles
- Experience managing projects or processes
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
