We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst with expertise in technical documentation, data dictionary creation, and effective communication with the business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our project to build a data lake for a special education data management system, ensuring that data is accurately documented and available for analysis.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical documentation.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary that defines the meaning, source, and usage of data elements within the data lake.
- Work closely with the business team to gather data mart requirements and document the specifications for data mart creation.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data, providing valuable insights to support special education program improvements.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation checks and cleansing processes.
- Produce data mart documentation, including data transformation rules and data lineage information.
- Contribute to data governance efforts by following established data management standards and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to data analysis and documentation.
- Must work 3 days on site and 2 days offsite.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a strong background in technical documentation.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining data dictionaries.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with data mart concepts and the ability to document data mart requirements.
- Experience with data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python, or similar).
- Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices is a plus.
- Previous experience in the education sector or with special education data is advantageous but not required.
Rate : $85.00 on a 40-hour work week
