Forklift Operator

Staffmark is actively searching for a skilled Forklift Operator to enhance our dynamic team in Torrance, CA. We have multiple shifts available to meet your work-life balance needs.

Pay : $17-$18 per hour

1st and 2nd Shift Availability : Must be available to work weekends

As a Forklift Operator, you'll be pivotal in the movement, storage, and organization of merchandise using material handling equipment.

Your responsibilities will include operating sit-down and / or clamp forklifts safely and efficiently. Additionally, you may be required to fulfill order filler or checker duties.

• Stack and store merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Safely unload inbound shipments and transfer products to storage areas.
• Prepare and pull products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct picking duties efficiently, meeting customer service standards.
• Load product into trailers from staging or storage areas.
• Maintain equipment and follow prescribed work methods for safe operation.
• Keep records and reports for inventory control and security.
• Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Conduct cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Utilize RF scanning equipment for inventory accuracy.

Requirements : Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of clamp forklift experience. Physical endurance is essential, with the ability to stand or walk for 10-12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Flexibility is also required, as the role involves working in diverse environments and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

A forklift certification is mandatory, and candidates with attention to detail, excellent customer service, and basic math skills are preferred.
