This position will work 1 : 1 with a high school age student and will include the following specific responsibilities : * Accompanying the student during off-site activities* Supporting the student during school to home transportation* Supporting the student during after school activitiesGeneral Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to) : * Complies with MA Board of Registration of Nursing and MA Department of Education regulations* Comply with accepted ethical conduct and professional standards of nursing practice as set forth by the American Nurses' Association or equivalent nursing organization* Comply with district and state policies / procedures* Supervise students' health status* Provide nursing care to students / staff* Administer first aid and CPR* Administers medication in compliance with school policy and state regulations* Triages student / staff with an injury, illness, or accident and provides appropriate interventions* Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and supervisors* Work collaboratively with the school staff, parents, and guardians to provide for the healthcare needs of students* Reports to parents regarding individual student health issues in a timely manner* Maintain confidentiality relative to patient care* Accompany regular community outings per educational programQualifications : * A bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university* Licensed, or eligible for licensure as a School Nurse by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (MA DESE)* Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts* CPR certifiedExperience Preferred : * Minimum 2 years employment as an RN in child health, community health or relevant clinical nursing settingRate of pay : Based on experience and qualificationsSchedule : * Flexible schedule* Three days per week* Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday* 12-14 hours per week* If you are interested in adding additional days to this schedule, please see Lincoln-Sudbury's posting for Part-Time .
