The Digital, Data, and Design (D 3) Institute at Harvard is looking for a Research Associate (RA) to support research activities at our newly formed research labs.
The RAs will work with Harvard Business School faculty, under the supervision of a lab manager and in collaboration with other D 3 staff.
The Platform Lab, which operates within D 3 and is led by Professors Chiara Farronato and Feng Zhu, is seeking a quantitative Research Associate.
The lab’s research focuses mainly on creating a roadmap for businesses and policymakers that are interested in creating an innovative, socially impactful, and inclusive platform ecosystem.
Ideal RA candidates will be comfortable in an environment that requires a high level of independence, intellectual curiosity, and rigor.
The lab is particularly interested in pre-doctoral candidates, who would consider spending two years at the lab gaining valuable research experience for an eventual PhD program.
Duties :
- Collect, preprocess, and analyze data.
- Conduct background research and literature reviews.
- Assist with preparation of presentations and class materials.
- Manage projects and engage with field partners.
- Exercise independent decision making with regard to progression of research projects and methodologies. Must be able to structure assignments and keep faculty member informed as necessary, using own judgment.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
