Responsibilities

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center , brings expanded services to a new building located at 6223 Sharlands Ave.

in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer adult behavioral health services.

The adult behavioral health services offered is an expansion to our current 50 and older program at NNMC. The new program will offer behavioral health services to all adults 18 years and older.

The department is managed through a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, CNAs, social workers, and therapists.

Patients will experience an individualized care plan, inclusive of individual and family therapy, activities, medication management, and a 24-hour secure, compassionate environment.

This Unit Clerk / CNA opportunity is full time at 36 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule.

We are looking for a dynamic Unit Clerk / CNA to provide safe, competent nursing assistant care for our patients.You will also provide professional support to the healthcare team.

The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

• Prepares medical records for new admissions and discharged patients
• Obtains appropriate nursing staff to assist patients / physicians in the care of the patient.
• Enters and verifies orders in the computer system.
• Logs all patients in the logbooks and in computer upon admission, transfer, discharge or expiration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited C.N.A program
• Current Nevada C.N.A. license
• Current BLS certificate.
