Project Manager - MSP Transition
Job Title : Project Manager - MSP Transition (East Coast)
Location : 100% Remote (East Coast preferred)
Hours : Full-Time (40 hours per week, 6 am to 3 pm EST)
Duration : Remote until the end of the year
Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support and lead the transition of Managed Service Providers (MSPs) within our client's organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, particularly with Azure, and a proven track record of successfully transitioning from one MSP to another.
This role is critical for ensuring the seamless migration of services and maintaining operational excellence across our global team, which includes members in Canada, the US, and Europe.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the transition of MSPs, ensuring a smooth and effective migration process.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in Canada, the US, and Europe to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the transition.
- Work hands-on to resolve issues, overcome obstacles, and drive the transition forward without waiting for directions.
- Differentiate and manage relationships between cloud service providers, network service providers, and legacy systems, with a focus on cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure.
- Act in a consultative capacity, providing expert guidance on best practices and strategies for MSP transitions.
- Ensure that all aspects of the transition adhere to enterprise standards and are completed on time and within budget.
Required Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum of 3+ years of experience in project management, specifically related to MSP transitions.
- Certifications : ITIL v4 or v3 certification is required.
- Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure, and experience managing relationships with cloud and network service providers.
- Consultative Approach : Ability to provide strategic guidance and hands-on support throughout the transition process.
- Problem-Solving : Demonstrated ability to confront challenges directly and effectively, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Enterprise Background : Experience working in an enterprise environment is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Location : East Coast candidates preferred due to collaboration requirements with global team members.
- Availability : Ability to work from 6 am to 3 pm EST to facilitate communication with team members in Europe.
