Ralph W Price, DDS, PC is excited to announce a professional opportunity for a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team.
This Part or Full-Time position is ideal for a Dental Hygienist that is passionate about oral healthcare and committed to delivering the highest quality care to our patients.
Our practice is keen to integrate a proactive and enthusiastic Dental Hygienist into our small, non-corporate office environment.
As a renowned private Periodontal practice, we focus on maintaining a friendly atmosphere with a supportive, helpful team and a great doctor who truly values long-standing patient relationships.
We pride ourselves on being a practice that does not prioritize sales, focusing instead on patient care and quality services.
We offer extensive session times for our treatments, including one hour for periodontal maintenance and one hour per quadrant for Scaling and Root Planing (SRP), ensuring thorough patient care and attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities for Dental Hygienist
- Conduct oral screenings and assess oral health conditions of patients.
- Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling).
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
- Remove calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth.
- Ensure that sterile conditions are maintained and comply with infection control protocols.
- Chart conditions of dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by the dentist.
- Maintain patient records for all procedures performed; recording the presence of diseases or abnormalities.
- Requirements for Dental Hygienist
- Associate's degree in dental hygiene is mandatory.
- Valid dental hygiene license issued by the state.
- Local anesthetic certification as required.
- Dental radiology license.
- Requires excellent communication skills verbal, written, and interpersonal.
- Must possess a deep knowledge of oral hygiene and dental health topics.
- Proven experience as a registered dental hygienist. Self-motivated, dependable, team player with strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fun, friendly and patient-centered environment. Office hours from 7 AM to 4 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays;
7 AM to 12 PM on Thursdays; and 7 AM to 2 PM on Fridays we are looking for someone approximately 3-4 days a week. We are also willing to consider part time hours if needed.
