Seated along Interstate 90 in southwestern South Dakota, Box Elder is rapidly growing and home to more than 12,000 residents.
Nestled close to the famous Black Hills, it is just a short distance to hiking trails, skiing / snowboarding, and countless other natural wonders.
The City is seeking a seasoned public works professional with experience in complex water and wastewater systems, developing a growing roads maintenance system, and tracking and maintenance of capital assets.
Qualifications :
To qualify, you should possess 10 years of increasingly responsible experience, with 5 years of hands-on work experience in one or more Public Works disciplines, along with 5 years of administrative and supervisory experience.
A BA in public administration, civil engineering, business administration, or a related field is required. A Certified Professional Engineer designation is desirable.
The City offers a generous benefit plan that includes 100% employer-paid health insurance, paid leave, and enrollment in the South Dakota Retirement System.
The City will reimburse up to $5,000 in moving / relocation expenses.
