Fire & Life Safety Equipment Inspector

About This Role

The position performs required inspections and testing of fire emergency equipment in compliance with state adopted fire codes. The position assists with assurance measures for other applicable State and Federal regulations and titles affecting higher education institutions.

Position provides assistance with cursory inspection of key areas in compliance with regulations for life safety, occupational safety and health, and environmental protection, but the position's primarily role is required in response stipulations of the international fire code and additional fire safety requirements mandated by the State of Kansas.

This position will assist senior personnel with ensuring environmental and industrial safety compliance assurance and laboratory safety by providing information during fire equipment inspections of key areas of concern and / or non-compliance to safety protocol to ensure that K-State is meeting Federal, State, local codes and regulations, and the expectations of accrediting bodies and funding entities as they pertain to environmental and safety matters.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Requires two years of relevant experience.

Valid Kansas drivers license upon employment.
