The Opportunity

Were looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our sow farm team. This role plays a vital part in keeping the barns, equipment, and farm systems operating efficiently. This role is the go-to resource for troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance helping ensure a safe, efficient environment for both livestock and employees.

What Youll Do

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on farm facilities and systems, including ventilation, heaters, feeders, water lines, and curtain controllers.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
  • Complete preventative maintenance schedules on equipment and barn systems.
  • Maintain tools, shop organization, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with farm managers and production staff to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Assist with special projects such as new equipment installations, remodels, and system upgrades.
  • Follow all safety and biosecurity protocols in every task.

What Youll Bring

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge in areas such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, fabrication, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to work independently while balancing multiple priorities.

  • Valid drivers license required
  • Comfortable working in an agricultural environment
  • Experience with electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems preferred
  • Welding, fabrication, and equipment operation experience a plus
