Pratt & Whitney Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems.
CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development and support, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, product software design, verification & validation and engine and flight test support.
The CDS organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Engineering Intern to join the Engine System Software organization.
What You Will Do
- Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into software requirements and designs within an Agile Framework
- Conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs
- Perform software verification within the Agile Framework including regression analysis, test case development, test script development and evaluation of results
- Participate in Agile ceremonies
- Participate in software planning, estimating and tracking per Agile framework

Qualifications You Must Have
- Enrolled in a degree program in engineering, computer science, or a related field
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems / tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in a dynamic, high pressure engineering environment
- Experience developing software in an Agile framework
- Experience with MATLAB / Simulink

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
