The Role

Our Banking and Financial Services Consulting Group is looking for a Consultant to join our journey. We’re looking for someone who.

The position holder will work closely with one of the consulting clients, which is a Global Banking and Financial Services Organization.

We’re looking for Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence : 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development.

  • As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and support delivery of effective solutions;
  • applying technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; developing and strengthening domain knowledge and maintaining an accurate understanding of Cognizant’s industry propositions and consulting capabilities;

supporting business development activities of senior leaders; contributing to the development of practice initiatives or new service offerings (e.

g., Strategic Control Points, development of consulting assets); and being an inspiring colleague, promoting team motivation, partnership, and ownership for projects.

Responsibilities :

  • Gather requirements from business units and translate those to developers and architects and testers
  • Documents functional requirements (in the form of user stories), analyzes requirements in the context of software and processes
  • Data analysis and coordinate with QA and UAT teams
  • Work with development and support teams on production issues as needed
  • Faceoff to the business for new requirements and changes.

Qualifications :

  • 5 years of business analysis experience with Payments background withing banking and financial services industry .
  • Should possess strong payments experience (FedWire, CHIPS and Cross Border payments)
  • Need to have good understanding of SWIFT ISO 20022
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Hands on experience on ACI MTS application is a nice to have
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience, with additional certifications preferred, but not mandatory
  • Ability to work on-site in the client office in Chicago for the duration of the project
  • Ability to travel when needed for a project
