The Lead Technical Program Manager resides in the Aya Technology Organization reporting to the Sr. Director, TPM. This role is responsible for scaling delivery and program management practices and processes.
Lead TPM will work with technology and product leaders to ensure programs and teams are equipped with the necessary tools and systems to deliver value.
This role will be responsible for using data to identify gaps, deficiencies, and opportunities where process improvement is needed.
This role will lead Technical Program Managers and Scrum Masters who execute on delivery and program management activities.
This role will coach and influence teams and leaders across the organization towards an Agile and Delivery Management mindset.
Lead TPM will understand Aya’s products, domain and will have the technical depth to ask meaningful and transformational questions at the right stages of the SDLC, and will strongly advocate for both the technical and product teams, ensuring appropriate resourcing to deliver successfully on our strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead Program Management Activities including delivery roadmaps, Stakeholder relations, KPI reporting, bringing visibility to programs status, risk assessment, dependency mapping, etc.
- Work across technology and partner with Product Management to optimize technical solutions and solve problems
- Bring process improvements and operate with a continuous improvement mindset to scale Program and Delivery Management Practices and creating high performing teams.
- Coordinate policies, people, and processes for TPMs and Scrum Masters
- Develop TPM staffing plan across the Product Development area
- Ensure security and data best practices are known in the TPM Org and facilitated accordingly
- Responsible for growing a team of Technical Program Managers and the career growth of each TPM
- Bring positive influence and impact our product delivery lifecycle by ensuring our teams are well positioned to deliver on milestones
- Responsible for understanding Aya’s technical approach and possessing the technical depth to ask meaningful and transformational questions at the right stages of the SDLC while advocating for technical and product teams
- Partner closely with Stakeholders to ensure Technology delivers best-in-class, reliable, scalable technical solutions
- Work with engineering and product managers to estimate work efforts, define milestones, and manage resources
- Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks, and communicate status to project stakeholders
- Work to optimize standardized processes across teams to ensure efficiency in agile development, break down communication barriers, and hold teams accountable to our operating cadence norms that accelerate the product lifecycle
- Build transparency in processes and timelines by creating communication norms and artifacts
- Ensure our teams can move against and deliver on our goals by swiftly and accurately breaking down projects and identifying milestones
- Ensure the teams are on track to meet milestones, communicating early and often when blockers or uncertainties are uncovered
- Engage with product and engineering leaders on cross-functional strategic planning and business planning process, producing project artifacts such as roadmaps and technical documentation
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- 10+ years experience as a TPM (or PMO) in a software, SaaS, or systems development environment
- 10+ years experience leading organization(s) through Agile transformation
- 3+ years experience as a Scrum Master and / or leading Scrum Masters
- Technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, challenges, and risks
- Collaborative and positive working experience with software engineers
- Exceptional ability to break down ambiguous, complex projects into milestones and communicate details and timelines across a wide-range of stakeholders
- Analytical and truth seeking
- Ability to understand complex concepts and make reasoned decisions objectively
- Metrics driven : Experience determining effective program KPI's and using them to measure program success and identify areas for improvement
- Strong organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items
- Excellent in identifying process gaps, measuring progress, and balancing engineering and product efficiency with process overhead
- Proven strong cross-team and cross-org stakeholder management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside exceptional emotional intelligence
- Computer Science degree, or related field

COMPENSATION : Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be $200,000 annually.
The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position.
Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager’s discretion.
