The Line Cook is responsible for cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner to order. Additional duties include assisting with prep work, handling routine daily cleaning, training new line staff, and assisting with scheduling.
Contributes to the casino’s high standards of superior guest service and performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager.
The starting wage is $22.59 / hr, increasing to the standard $24.92 / hr at the successful completion of a 90-day orientation period.
Education :
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Culinary training.
Experience & Requirements :
- Two years experience in line cooking for a dinner house.
- Must have experience in grilling, broiling, sautéing, and steaming.
- Experience in training of staff (preferred).
- Must be fast and capable of working on as many as 30 orders at a time with the ability to coordinate cooking times with co-workers.
- Must have a valid Washington State food handler’s card.
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours.
- The ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis.
- Must be able to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
Additional Requirements :
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen.
- Upon offer must obtain a Class IIIB Gaming License ($155 - $200).
- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts including day, swing, graveyard, and holidays.
