Job Description and Duties

THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.

Under the supervision of the Employment Program Manager I (EPM I), the Employment Program Representative (EPR) assists customers through the delivery method of self-service, facilitated self-help, and staff-assisted services.

The EPR promotes the programs and services offered by the Employment Development Department (EDD) Workforce Services (WS) Branch to job seekers, employers, workforce partners, and other community stakeholders.

The EPR provides employment services to job seekers and recruitment assistance to employers following prescribed WS policies and procedures.

The EPR prepares and makes formal presentations regarding EDD WS, benefits and features of CalJOBS, and engages audiences to utilize the America's Job Centers of California (AJCCs) as a one-stop for employment and training services.

The EPR follows guidance under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Wagner-Peyser (WP) Act funded activities.
