Deception Pass State Park - Washington State Parks

These AmeriCorps national service positions will serve 40 hours per week in person. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
The anticipated service term is October 16, - August 31, . The Interpretive Naturalist provides environmental education and conservation support at Deception Pass State Park.
These positions are a good fit for people who have a strong desire to teach others about environmental education, have strong oral and written communications, can work well with a team, and can work well with government, non-government, tribal, and private organizations.
- What you'll be doing - Will develop curriculum outlines for structured and non-structured environmental education opportunities throughout Deception Pass State Park;
- will work with community partners like the library, public schools, and non- government organizations; will provide guided educational hikes;
will coordinate events and volunteer work groups; will work with a diverse group of visitors to the park.
About us - Deception Pass State Park is the most visited park in Washington State with over three million visitors per year.
We are dedicated toward the conservation and preservation of some of the most diverse and protected resources scattered throughout the park.
The goal of Deception Pass is to connect people with places to ensure our visitors have a memorable experience with some of our most treasured places and eco-systems.
