JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our client, a leading meat processing facility located in Davie County.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining plant equipment.

This full-time position offers a schedule of 4 days / 12 hours per week, with a willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation will be based on qualifications and skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Safely perform routine preventative maintenance on facility equipment using basic hand tools.
- Effectively troubleshoot equipment to minimize production downtime events.
- Assist with various work orders throughout the facility.
- Input completed tasks in SAP and other required computer programs.
- Communicate with managers and employees within the maintenance department and other departments, responding promptly to maintenance requests.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum one year of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility preferred (food and beverage industry experience is a plus).
- Minimum one year of experience in one or more technical skillsets preferred : Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and / or HVAC.
- Minimum one year of experience with a variety of equipment preferred, including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging equipment.
- Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Completion and maintenance of required safety trainings such as Lock Out / Tag Out, Powered Industrial Truck certifications, and Hazcom.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.
WORK SETTING
- Exposure to varying environmental conditions, both indoor and outdoor.
- Temperatures ranging from warm to very cold, heavy noise, humidity, moving vehicles, and slippery floors.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, and bending for the majority of the shift.
- Compliance with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for assigned tasks is required.
