2nd Shift Forklift inTraining

Starting rate : $17.00 + $1.00 increase after 30days!

Job Summary : The Reach Truck / Order Picker (RTOP) Operator inTraining works alongside an approved trainer in order to learn theproper skills, techniques and procedures required to safely operateForklifts, Reach Trucks and Order Pickers within the DistributionCenter.

A RTOP Operator in Training typically promotes to RTOPOperator after successfully completing all requirements in afour-week training program and will then be responsible forstocking and retrieving merchandise using the various types oftrucks at the facility.

Primary Duties &Responsibilities :

• Standard OperatingProcedures :
• Understands and followsstandard operating procedures and commits to achieving individualtasks in order to achieve overall teamgoals.
• Communicates safety and jobrelated issues to the leadership team.
• Performs daily visualand operational inspection of trucks.
• Reach TruckOperator :
• Uses the Reach Truck tolocates pallets of merchandise in push-back racks and deliverspallets to Shipping department.
• Retrieves pallets ofmerchandise from Shipping department and stocks merchandise inpush-back racks.
• Uses hand-held scanner toaccurately locate and stock merchandise.
• Order PickerOperator :
• Locates cases of merchandisein high-bay racks and quick-pick racks and manually places producton conveyor.
• Manually retrieves cases ofmerchandise from Reserve Storage department and stocks cases inhigh-bay racks and quick-pick racks.
• Uses hand-held scannerto accurately locate and stock merchandise.
• Locates cases ofmerchandise in high-bay racks and quick-pick racks and manuallyplaces product on conveyor.
• Manually retrieves cases ofmerchandise from Reserve Storage department and stocks cases inhigh-bay racks and quick-pick racks.

Uses hand-held scanner toaccurately locate and stock merchandise.

Requirements :

The job operates in a distributioncenter / warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures based onoutside weather conditions, equipment noises, and flashingnotification lights.

This role routinelyuses standard equipment such as a scanner, conveyor, pallet jack,box cutter, tape gun, and shears.

• Ability to communicate with leadership andother associates.
• Prolonged periods of standingand walking.
• Frequent periods of bending, squatting,reaching, and twisting to place or obtainmerchandise.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 70pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 30pounds continuously.
• Ability to perform repetitivemotions including push / pull with arms and grasping with fingers andhands continuously.
• Ability to work at heights upto 24 feet.
• Ability to view and read shoesizes, colors, labels, and scanners.
