A Certified Medical Assistant position in Dallas, TX is now available through Adecco Healthcare and Life and Science. In this role, you will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks assigned to support effective office operations.

This is a contract-hire position starting in October 2024. The work hours are Monday-Friday from 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm. The hourly pay rate is $20.

00-22.00 / hr. depending on your level of experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advises patients regarding preparation of necessary forms, counsel patients regarding paperwork requirements.
  • Obtains pre-certification and / or prior authorization from insurance companies for patient management as assigned.
  • Handles physician and professional staff EMR and other correspondence to physicians, patients, and other providers.
  • Monitors patient flow and communicates with any issues or problems that arise with the clinical staff; seeks assistance from clinical staff when communication back to the waiting room is needed.
  • Performs any online functions, in the clinical or financial systems, as the technology and processes evolve.

Clinical Tasks :

  • Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding and allay apprehension.
  • Documents all patient correspondence and correspondence with other pertinent health care providers
  • Assist in the treatment and examination of patient.
  • Helps obtain precertification / authorization with insurance company prescribed medications or procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience required, preferably in a medical office setting.
  • Preferred EPIC experience.
  • Preferred experience with obtaining vitals and immunizations.

Pay Details : $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
