Provides pre / post-operative nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process. Performs within the standards of professional practice and hospital policies and procedures, is a resource person for the post anesthesia care unit.
Available to take call on a rotational basis as assigned and flexes with schedule as unit census requires.

Required Skills
- Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
- Basic organizational / time management skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to apply the nursing process to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
- Must have successfully completed a basic EKG course or have evidence of proficiency through testing.
Required Experience
- Current California RN license.
- Evidence of continuing education.
- Current BCLS card, ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
- Demonstrates expertise in direct patient care pre / post operative nursing.
- Critical care / ER experience
- Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education in critical care.
