We are looking for a skilled and experienced Controls Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL. This role involves handling electrical and controls engineering for large-scale projects.
You will be responsible for the complete system design, from control panel design to DCS / PLC programming and installation.

What youll be doing :
- Design control systems from scratch, including hardware, software, and network architecture.
- Develop and implement electrical panel designs and perform power calculations.
- Perform risk assessments, safety system implementation, and mitigation strategies.
- Program and install control systems, commissioning projects, and optimizing designs for efficiency and safety.
- Design calculations including short circuit protection, noise reduction, load flow, and ground fault monitoring.
- Create detailed documentation for system configurations, wiring, network layouts, and control system designs.
- Collaborate with engineers and drafters to integrate system design across various project disciplines.
- Travel up to 30% of the time for system installation and commissioning when necessary.
Requirements :
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline).
- 5+ years of experience in control system design and programming.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and design software.
- Strong experience with DCS / PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
- Experience with ethernet-based distributed remote I / O systems.
- Expertise in system design calculations such as short circuit protection and load flow.
- Familiarity with safety system implementation and SIL / PL ratings.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplined team.
