The Senior Clinical Nurse oversees the assessment, coordination, planning, implementation, and management of patient care throughout the episode of care, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions within the acute care stay.
This role also involves ensuring the delivery and coordination of patient care by the caregiving team, and providing competent, compassionate care to patients across inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Hourly Range : $36.73 - $60.93
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and document treatment as required
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
- Deliver primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
Minimum Qualifications :
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience
- 1 year of Telemetry or ICU experience
- Commitment to continuing education and quality improvement
