Job Description Summary : Teaching faculty at Guilford Technical Community College are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, developing curriculum courses, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, supporting college administrative requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional field.
He / she will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college.
Under general supervision, this individual will prepare and teach short-term North Carolina Vehicle Inspection courses designed for continuing education credits in the automotive industry.
The faculty member may be required to teach day, evening and / or weekend hours. Education Required : - High School diploma or GED .
- North Carolina Vehicle Inspection Instructor certification. Education Preferred : -Associates degree or higher in Automotive Systems Technology or a related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution.
- ASE certifications Experience Required : - 3 years relevant experience in the automotive industry. - Teaching and or industry training experience conducting North Carolina vehicle inspections classes or related continuing education courses.
Experience Preferred : -Greater than 3 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry -Post-secondary teaching experience
