This role offers a strategic opportunity to lead and enhance clinical programs within a fast-paced healthcare technology environment. The Clinical Programs Director will provide expert guidance on formulary management, drug pipeline review, and clinical program development, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and best practices in managed care settings. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external clients to drive high-impact initiatives, deliver clinical insights, and support enterprise-wide strategies. This position emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and the ability to translate client needs into actionable programs, contributing directly to the organization’s growth and operational excellence. Your expertise will influence both the development of products and the delivery of high-quality clinical services across diverse healthcare markets.

Accountabilities

  • Lead pharmacy clinical program initiatives internally and for clients, including formulary management, drug pipeline evaluation, and clinical consultation.
  • Evaluate and enhance formulary processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational standards, particularly regarding Medicare Part D.
  • Provide clinical expertise for drug utilization, drug information, and managed care programs, supporting client engagement and decision-making.
  • Develop cross-functional alignment to build product roadmaps and execution plans that optimize organizational resources and market opportunities.
  • Mentor and provide leadership for direct and indirect reports, fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional growth within the team.
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate product metrics to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Licensed and registered Pharmacist (RPh) in good standing in the state of residence.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pharmacist in a managed care setting, including knowledge of drug information.
  • Experience with formulary management in commercial, Medicare, and / or Medicaid environments.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare Part D regulations, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee processes, and managed care operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Excellent client engagement and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative self-starter with the ability to navigate complex corporate and cross-functional environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, adherence to timelines, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
