Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Petersburg, West Virginia.

- Required certifications : BLS
- Common diagnoses / Types of patients : COPD, CHF, Total joints, Hysters, general post ops.
- Experience : Must have at least 1 year experience, prefer to have travel experience. Will train
travelers on things they are unfamiliar with.
- Are RNs required to titrate drips : No drips.
- Are there tele / monitor techs on this unit : Tele on the unit. SCU RN monitors and reads strips.
- Charge Nurse / House Supervisor : Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge available for
all shifts- Day shift designated charge, Nights one of the 3 nurses are assigned charge as well as
patients. House supervisor available.
- Are there nurse aids on this unit / Ratios : 1 : 6-1 : 9 depending on staffing.
- RT Equipment : CPAP, BiPAP if established at home.
- Shifts & Scheduling : 12 hours 7-7. Will try to work with requests, scheduler does schedule try to
give one generous block of time once a month.
- Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend- Fri, Sat, Sun.
- Holiday Requirement : Rotate with perm staff.
- Is there Call or a Standby requirement? : No
- Floating Requirements? : No
- Scrub Color / Dress Code : No specific scrub color
- Unit / Department specific orientation : Day 1 get a feel for the unit / requirements, then 2- 12 hour
shifts.
