Aircraft Painter, Paint Technician Level 2 - Multi Shift

Job Description

You will be the Aircraft Painter, Paint Technician Level 2 for the Lockheed Martin Greenville Paint Operations Team. Our team is responsible for Production and Sustainment paint / coating operations on F-16s and other military aircraft prior to delivery to our customers.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Aircraft Painter, Paint Technician Level 2 you will be responsible for interpreting paint blueprints / schematics, LO / Ram coatings, Paint / Priming operations, Aircraft wash / stripping, and paint preparation on F16 and other military aircraft utilizing precision painting equipment.

• Detail surfaces and prepare for paint by cleaning, stripping, abrading or chemically treating
• Mask aircraft surfaces as necessary protecting sensitive components, final wiping prior to paint application, prime and paint

The candidate will be required to :

• Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Use hands to grasp, handle, and / or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft.
• Frequently lift and / or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive movements and work overhead.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.
• Properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures

Mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required.

Candidates must complete a post-offer medical exam prior to start.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks.

The employee is regularly exposed to vibration.

• Aircraft or Heavy Automotive Paining Experience
• Full paint experience on Low Observable and RAM coatings
• Snorkel OR scissor lift driving experience
• Stencil design and application experience
