Northrop Grumman Space Systems Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Technical Services Project Management Project Engineer (24-283) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO, area. *Position Overview : * The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System.

It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.

C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight.

C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance.

C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.

The Project Engineer will work with the Task Order 60 (TO60) Leadership to manage, coordinate, and oversee the cross-agile Release Train and Cross-Functional Product Team efforts associated with TO 60 projects, contract proposals, and Mods. *Essential Functions : *

  • The candidate will lead the design and execution of training programs.
  • Support the planning and executing technical scope, schedule, and cost inputs for changes, ECPs, and other customer engineering estimate requests.
  • Will support the development of TO60 IMS objective evidence and the collection of IMS status accounting, and will support cross-spiral de-confliction, Cross-Functional Area coordination, and schedule / resource issue resolution.
  • Proven leadership abilities to manage, coordinate, and oversee Cross-Functional Area efforts associated with the sustainability and Development lifecycle management.
  • Basic Qualifications : * Please note your updated security clearance and IAT / relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
  • An active Secret clearance is required to start.
  • 9 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 7 years experience with a Master's degree in a related field, OR 13 years experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have experience with project planning and management, cost, scheduling & performance, and EVMS.
  • Must have Systems Engineering, Software Development, and Deployment.
  • Must be experienced in developing and managing project teams and schedules.
  • Must be experienced in Development Lifecycle and knowledge of spiral development processes
  • Must possess previous experience with development programs and deployment execution activities.

however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
