Special Education Teacher - Chaska, MN (2024-25 School Year)
ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Chaska, MN.
As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs by providing high-quality educational experiences tailored to their individual abilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapt and modify curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet students' unique learning requirements.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to ensure inclusive education practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Utilize technology and other resources to enhance learning opportunities for students with disabilities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid state teaching license with a certification in Special Education.
- Previous experience working with students with special needs is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
