Job Description
The Administrative Director of Youth Services oversees Child Inpatient, Child PHP, and Adolescent Inpatient.
SUMMARY
The Administrative Director of Youth Services participates in formulating organization policy, develops and / or reviews procedures essential to the achievement of objectives and makes recommendations to Senior Management.
Key responsibilities include :
- Using Evidence Based planning, research, quality data, and facility goals to analyze and make decisions while involving appropriate parties.
- Developing, directing, and ensuring the implementation of department services that promote optimum health care delivery and customer service.
- Promoting and educating employees on the concept of excellent service for all customers of the hospital, including patients, visitors, physicians, and employees.
- Creating a system that fosters participation and collaboration in planning, implementing, and evaluating standards to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective health care.
- Maintaining employee satisfaction scores at the goal of division / corporate level.
- Maintaining a sufficient number of qualified staff by interviewing, hiring, and supervising staff.
- Making cost containment recommendations and seeing them through to approval and implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION :
Master's of Science in Nursing
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS :
- Current Licensure as RN in Commonwealth of Virginia or Compact State
- BLS, CPI non-violent crisis intervention certification required as a part of orientation.
EXPERIENCE :
Minimum five years of management experience in a hospital with a focus on psychiatric services.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
- New position at the facility.
- Reports to CNO.
- Must be an RN.
- Psychiatric experience (adolescent, teen) highly preferred.
- Culture of the facility / unit : caring, friendly, treating one another like family in a smaller behavioral health hospital.
- Looking for candidates with RN Behavioral Health nursing leadership experience.
